Betsson Bonus
Bonuses work differently in Sweden than almost anywhere else. Under the Swedish Gambling Act, a licensed operator such as Betsson may only offer a bonus the first time you play a particular form of gambling with it. There are no reload bonuses, no weekly cashback and no VIP gifts. This page explains what that means for the Betsson welcome offer, what it can contain, and how to read the terms before you accept.
We publish no bonus amounts or codes, because offers change and must be presented by the operator itself. 18+ only.
Betsson bonus at a glance
The Swedish bonus rules that apply to every licensed operator, in four points.
- One bonus Only on the first occasion you play a form of gambling
- No reloads No ongoing bonuses for existing players
- Clear terms Must be visible at first glance
- Licensed Rules set by Spelinspektionen
The Swedish one-bonus rule explained
Since the re-regulated market opened in 2019, the Gambling Act has limited player incentives. A licence holder may offer a bonus only the first time a player plays a specific form of gambling with it — for example once for the casino and once for sports betting. After that, no further bonuses are allowed.
Spelinspektionen has fined several operators for breaking this rule, and its guidance says bonus terms — wagering, time limits and special conditions — must be visible at first glance and no more than one click away.
What a Betsson welcome offer can include
Within that single occasion, welcome offers in Sweden typically take one of a few forms. Which one is live, and its exact size, is shown on the Betsson site at the time you register.
- Deposit bonus A match on your first deposit
- Free spins Spins on selected slots
- Sports offer A bonus for your first sports bet
- No bonus You can always decline and play with your own money
Wagering requirements and game weighting
A wagering requirement tells you how many times bonus money must be staked before it becomes withdrawable. Slots usually count in full; live casino and table games may count partly or not at all. Free spin winnings may also carry their own wagering.
Read the weighting table and the time limit together: a generous-looking bonus with a short expiry is easy to lose. Our Betsson casino guide explains which game types sit in the lobby.
Free spins on popular slots
Free spins are often tied to well-known slots. In Sweden that frequently means games from Swedish studios such as Play'n GO, whose Book of Dead is the most played slot among regular Swedish slot players. Spin value and eligible games are set in the offer terms.
Should you take the bonus?
Because you only get one chance, it is worth thinking before you tick the box. A bonus ties your balance to wagering until it is completed or forfeited, so if you only plan a short session, playing without it can be simpler. Whatever you choose, Swedish rules require you to set a deposit limit before you play — see our registration guide. Is there a Betsson bonus code?
Any current welcome offer and its terms are shown by Betsson itself during registration. We do not publish codes.
What is a wagering requirement?
