Betsson Registration
Opening a Betsson account in Sweden is quick, mostly because of BankID: your identity, age and address are confirmed in one step. Swedish rules add two checks every licensed operator must run — a Spelpaus lookup and a mandatory deposit limit before you can play. This page walks through registration step by step and explains each check.
We are an independent guide; we do not open accounts. 18+ only.

How to register at Betsson with BankID
Most Swedish players register with Mobile BankID. You start on the Betsson site or app, approve the request in the BankID app, and your personal number, name and address are filled in from official records. You then add an email address and phone number and accept the terms.
If you do not use BankID, other verification routes may be offered, but they usually take longer and may require documents.

Spelpaus and age checks
Every licensed operator must check Spelpaus, Sweden's national self-exclusion register, before letting you play. If you are registered there, Betsson cannot open or activate an account for you. Players must also be 18 or over — BankID confirms this automatically. You can check or change your own status at spelpaus.se. Our blog article Spelpaus explained covers the register in detail.
The mandatory deposit limit
Swedish rules require you to set a deposit limit — per day, week or month — before your first deposit. Lowering it takes effect straight away; raising it only applies after a waiting period. Set it at an amount you could lose in full without it affecting bills or savings.
This is also when you choose whether to accept the welcome offer. Our Betsson bonus guide explains the one-bonus rule.
Common registration problems
If BankID does not complete, check that the app is updated and that you approve the right request. If your details do not match public records — for example after a recent move — you may be asked for documents. Opening a second account is not allowed and usually leads to closure.
After you register
Use BankID to log in next time — see our Betsson login guide — and check the reality checks and time limits in the account settings. Our Betsson Sverige guide covers Swish deposits and withdrawals. Free, confidential support is available from Stödlinjen on 020-81 91 00 (stodlinjen.se).
